FAQs
A few typical questions are answered below, should you have anything specific you want to ask then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
What is your style of shooting?
Our photography style is lifestyle-focused, capturing your baby in their natural surroundings at home. We aim to document authentic family moments, creating timeless images that reflect your everyday life together.
How long will I wait for my photos?
I look to deliver photos for you to choose from within a couple of weeks (this images will have basic colour correction but still require final editing). You are then able to choose how many and which images you want to be edited which you can expect to receive within a further 2 weeks.
What happens if my baby needs a feed?
Usually within the 2 hour session there is time for feeding where necessary, but I of course will make sure I get all the photos I usually would even if that means we spend a little bit of extra time.
What if my baby isn’t co-operating?
It’s always great to have your heating up a little bit extra just in case as this helps newborns settle when needing to be changed or wearing less clothes for the shots.
If your newborn really isn’t settling we can look to arrange a different time to finish the session.
Do I need anything for the session?
I’m always open when it comes to what types of photos you want and if you want your baby to be wearing any special or specific outfits then it’s great to have those ready and prepared before the session starts (the same if you have any props or cuddly toys etc).
Is my baby too old?
It is easiest to do newborn photography within the 14 days since birth.
However, after this we can still get some lovely shots it just tends to be more focused on your baby lying on their back, awake or in your arms.
